Architect-designed new homes
Building a new home from an architect's documentation takes a careful reading of the drawings, close coordination with the consultants, and a builder who stays on the job from slab to handover.
Built from your documentation
A new home is priced from the architectural drawings, structural and civil engineering, energy rating and specification. Anything unclear or missing is raised before the contract is signed, so the price reflects the house that's been designed.
Coordination with your architect and consultants
Questions on site go back to the right person: the architect, the engineer or the building surveyor. Decisions are recorded, and the design intent is kept through to the finishes.
Knockdown-rebuilds in established suburbs
Building a new house among existing ones means planning for demolition, protecting neighbouring property and council assets, managing deliveries on narrow streets, and keeping the public safe around the site.
A builder on site, not just on the phone
Warrick runs the job himself. The site is set out from the boundary survey, the work runs to a rolling schedule, and progress is reviewed with you and your architect at regular site meetings.
Experience
Two decades on Melbourne residential sites.
Background
Before establishing Room to Grow, Warrick worked for other builders as a carpenter, leading hand, site manager and project manager. That included managing the construction of a new three-storey inner-Melbourne home with a basement and rooftop deck, on a narrow laneway site with structural steel, brick veneer and craned-in roof planters.
Projects described here were delivered by the builders Warrick worked for at the time. They show the kind of work he has run.
